Research Interests:
  • Research in the field of safe radioactive waste disposal, in particular, in the development, creation and evaluation of the evolution of properties of engineered barrier materials for radioactive waste disposal in geological formations;
  • Conducting independent experimental research in the laboratory and involving other groups in Russia, as well as in other countries (projects in Germany, Brazil, Belarus, Japan, and others);
  • Coordination and supervision of work on the creation of engineered barrier systems for the development of a radioactive waste disposal facility in Russia;
  • Development of the Clay and Clay Minerals Group in Russia, including the organization of regular Russian and international events, trainings, supervision of student and doctoral theses, development of proprietary training courses, creating an environment for intergenerational knowledge transfer and opportunities for bridging industry and science.
