Scientific career

In 1994, she graduated with honors from the Geological Faculty of St. Petersburg State University (Department of Geochemistry). 1994-1997 – full-time postgraduate study at the Department of Geochemistry of the Geological Faculty of St. Petersburg State University. In 2003, she defended her thesis for the degree of Candidate of Geological and mineralogical sciences on the topic "Mineralogical and geochemical features of ore-forming chrome spinelids of the Imandrovsky stratified massif (Kola Peninsula)".

Since 1998, she has been working in the Laboratory of Isotope Chemostratigraphy and Geochronology of Sedimentary Rocks at the IGG RAS, since 2019 – Acting Deputy. Director of the IGGD RAS for scientific work. Participates in the further development of the methodology of isotopic dating of non-metamorphosed sedimentary rocks of the Upper Precambrian, developed earlier by the laboratory team (I.M. Gorokhov, O.V. Yakovleva, N.N. Melnikov, E.P. Kutyavin, T.L. Turchenko and G.V. Konstantinova)

Professional interests

  • an approach to isotopic dating of mudstones based on the isolation and analysis of heterogeneous submicron fractions of clay minerals using leaching techniques and X–ray diffraction and electron microscopic control of the evolution of illite - the main geochronometer of clastic sedimentary rocks;
  • investigation of globular layered silicates of the glauconite-illite series by a complex of mineralogical-geochemical, isotope-geochronological and spectroscopic methods (Mossbauer and IR spectroscopy) in order to establish the causes of violation of K-Ar and Rb-Sr isotope systems and to identify geological conditions conducive to the "rejuvenation" of these minerals.
