Scientific career
Graduated from the Geological Faculty of St. Petersburg State University in 1998 with a degree in Lithology, in 2002 defended her PhD thesis on "Lithology of bottom sediments in the area of Medvezhy Island (south-western outskirts of the Barents Sea)". He has been working at IGEM since 2004. Since 2009, he has been Chairman of the Commission on Russian Clay Group
Professional interests
  • X-ray diffraction and X-ray diffraction analysis quantitative X-ray diffraction analysis of rocks, ores and soils, natural and artificial mixtures of fine crystalline minerals;
  • investigation of clay minerals by X-ray diffraction, infrared spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy;
  • study of the dimensional effect in clay minerals;
  • studies of transformations of clay minerals under the influence of reactive solutions on them and the influence of structural features of clay minerals on the physico-chemical properties of clays.
