Dear Colleagues!
A special issue of the journal Frontiers in Earth Science (Q2, SJR) has been opened, entitled "Glaucony Facies Revisited: From Sedimentary Chronology to Ocean-Climate-Society Archives", dedicated to glauconite, its role in stratigraphy, mineralogy, geochemistry and application in modern materials.
The scope of the issue covers a wide range of topics: glauconite formation processes, its use as a stratigraphic and palaeo-indicator, links to oceanic and climatic systems, as well as current directions for the application of this mineral in environmentally friendly and nature-technical solutions. Research on illite and celadonite also falls within the thematic scope and can be submitted.
The guest editor of the issue is Maxim Rudmin, Doctor of Geological and Mineralogical Sciences, Associate Professor at TPU.
We invite you to participate in this special issue!
