AIPEA-Talk: Workshop on Qualitative and Quantitative Analysis of Clay Minerals

Dear members of the Russian Clay Group,

We would like to inform you that from March 10 to 14, 2025, a Workshop on Qualitative and Quantitative Analysis of Clay Minerals will be held in Krakow, Poland.

The workshop will consist of five days of lectures and practical laboratory sessions on the following topics:

structure of clay minerals, X-ray diffraction, infrared spectroscopy (IR), determination of CEC and layer charge, thermal analysis, clay mineral isotope analysis, electron microscopy, and methods for enrichment and fraction separation.

Registration for the workshop has already begun, and the number of places is limited! The application deadline is December 10, 2024.
