Dear colleagues,
We inform you that for participation in the ICC-2025 conference, AIPEA Research and Travel Grants are available for early-career researchers in the field of clay and clay mineral science (holding a post-doctoral position, assistant professor, or lecturer position, having received their PhD within the previous 5 years).
AIPEA Research Grants for early-career researchers provide financial support in the form of seed capital to help young scientists fund current projects, as well as conduct research that was not included in the original scope of work. This should subsequently support further applications to national or regional research funding bodies. AIPEA awards 1 grant over a 2-year period (from CLAY20xx to CLAY20xx+2). Individual grant applications may be for up to €2,500.
The Travel Grant for early-career scientists is provided with a waiver of the registration fee for participation in ICC-2025 (unless otherwise stated in the grant award letter). The grant is a maximum of €1,500 for intercontinental travel; the number of grants awarded will depend on the number of applications and the available budget (€1,500 for 2025). Travel grants are awarded to applicants as a lump sum, which covers transportation, accommodation, and meals during the conference. Travel grants are expected to be awarded to those scientists who truly need them. Individuals who have the means to cover their travel expenses are advised not to apply.
Detailed application instructions and application forms are already available on the official AIPEA pages: "Information on Research Grants" and "Information on Travel Grants".
